What We're Evaluating

• Regulatory Requirements: Oregon's Oregon Health Authority, EMS and Trauma Systems under the Oregon Health Authority, EMS and Trauma Systems oversees the approval of EMT training programs. We are researching the application process, facility requirements, and standards that must be met.
• Training Facility Assessment: We are evaluating potential training facilities in the Clackamas County area that meet the equipment, space, and safety requirements for EMT education.
• Clinical Partnership Development: EMT students require supervised clinical experiences in emergency departments and ambulance settings. We are exploring partnerships with local hospitals and EMS agencies.
• Instructor Recruitment: Any future program would need Oregon-credentialed EMS instructors with real-world field experience.
